Adopt......Foster......Sponsor: All are Appreciated!
Welcome to the Black Feather Horse Rescue Website!
We are a 501 (c) non-profit organization that has been in operation
for over four years. To date, we have placed over 30 horses in loving adopted homes. We couldn't do this without the kindness
and support of all the Friends of Black Feather Horse Rescue!
Thank you so much for your continued support.
All of our Equine Earth Angels appreciate everything you do for us!
News from Black Feather Horse Rescue
Thanks to generous donations of time and labor,
we have been able to put up more new fencing here at the rescue, thus helping to ensure the safety of all our "equine residents".
We have several of our horses up for adoption so that we have the room to continue to accept horses that are truly in need.
Do you, or someone you know, love horses and have the time and space to make a difference? If so, we desperately need your help. Adopt one of our many wonderful horses that are looking for loving forever homes. Do you love the smell of a horse and need your fix? Temporarily foster one of our babies while showering a needy
horse with love and proper care. What a rewarding experience!
Don't have the facility to bring a horse into your life but want to help save horses? Sponsorship is a great option. 100% of all donations
go directly to the care and upkeep of our horses and as we are a non profit organization, donations are tax deductible.
Fortunately, we were able to secure a loan and the construction
of additional stalls is underway. Completion is expected well
before the weather turns which will hopefully improve the ease of operation once the ground freezes and the snow flies!

Black Feather Horse Rescue is a non-profit organization. All donations are 100% tax deductible. Won't you please consider making a donation so that we can continue to help these magnificent horses in need?
The horses thank you!
Donations can be made to Black Feather Horse Rescue at P.O. Box 3145 Plymouth, MA 02361.
I'd like to personally thank everyone for their support at the Barn Dance Fundraiser. The Earth Angels and myself are very grateful and appreciate everything you have done! ~ Darlene Nickerson

NEW RESIDENTS AT THE RESCUE
Arielle is a small Chestnut Arabian that was gifted to me from a dear friend. When I say gifted, I mean she is truly a gift! You see, Arielle is
completely blind. However, don't feel sorry for this amazing girl! The first time I met her a couple of years ago, I knew she was special, but
since joining us at BFHR, I have realized exactly how special. She is one of the most loving and trusting horses that I have ever known.
She has learned every nook and cranny of her stall and can maneuver it like a pro. In her own paddock, just over the fence from the main
herd, she walks, trots, rolls and sunbathes to her heart's content. She easily locates her water bucket and hay pile and eagerly listens for her
name to be called and returns the greeting with her own very recognizable whinny. We get out regularly for walks together and when I can,
I love to ride her cautiously through the trails. She has proven herself to be extremely intelligent and alert on our rides and I am so blessed
to have earned her love and trust! One more thing before you ask, NO she is NOT up for adoption. Arielle will live out her life here at BFHR!

An absolutely stunning young gentlman who is currently being tube fed due to an inability to swallow. It is horses like him that originally prompted me to start this rescue and it is my hope that I can place several of my adoptable horses so that I may devote more of my time towards horses such as Murphy that truly need help!
