Sassy...

really isn't up for adoption. At 32 years old I can't imagine her leaving. This was a difficult rescue. A teacher in the area had a run of really bad luck. Husband gone, a bad break in her leg and horses that She had rescued but was not able to care for. Behind in her bills and in trouble someone called the MSPCA on her. She knew she needed help. 2 horses and 1 pony needed to go. 

I took Sassy and a pony. I gave her money for the pony because she asked and I knew she needed it. Sometimes a rescue is about helping someone as well as an animal. I had some wonderful volunteers with me that eventually took on this pony. This wonderful couple isn't a stranger to doing all they can to help out children and animals.
